"There are no road signs on the main line or in the train yards. The liquor store, the dog shit, and the lady with no front teeth, holding a bottle of Miller and coughing up chicken cartilage into her hand - these are your road signs. A train yard is like a tattoo, you get it when you’re drunk - even though you’re not supposed to. Besides, when that southbound Burlington Northern hits the High 48 and the lady of the land is rolling alongside you - it don’t matter where you’re going. She’ll be all that matters to you - trust me. It’s like true love - when you’re holding her, the lady of the land, in your arms, you don’t care about much else. If you do get on the wrong train, who’s watching, anyway? Nobody, really - just the spirits in the trees and the Huck Finn boys with holes in their knees."
This is the premise of Lucky Hobo. It's about acclimation. It's about change. It's about versatility. Most importantly it's not just about art. It's about the quest, that special place where adventure meets imagination.
This is not a screed against the BIG TIME. We believe that success is a multilayered experience. And we believe that success is inevitable as long as it empowers the whole.
If finding the perfect swimming hole, whirligigs and talking monkeys are just as important to you as getting the gig, than welcome home kind rainbow sisters and brothers...
Let's make some stories!
